BUSINESS CONTEXT
Nutrition business in South East Asia is a proud, successful, and fast-growing business. Foods Biggest markets in the region are Indonesia, Philippines, followed by medium size Thailand and smaller, but rapidly growing Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia.
Key task is to lead holistic key technical aspects of Nutrition Savory RDC for Formulation, Process and Diet & Health in SEA+ID business unit, drive technical innovation to deliver consumer relevant products, services, and solutions to the Nutrition Food Retails business in this business with key market leads in Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
As savory RDC Leader, accountable for developing, evaluation and scale-up savory products including Bouillon/Cooking aids, Ready to Eat, etc., supporting the business across SEA + ID, ensuring no technical failure in the holistic view of formulation/nutrition and process
Responsible for strong business understanding and clear appreciation on the value of R&D and its work in delivering SEA+ID business target with product superiority and boldly healthier drive, consumer centric, quality and food safety, regulatory and all business compliance, competitor challenges, relevant industry engagement and advocacies, etc.
Ensure a continuing review (by annual plan) and evaluation of savory new technology both potential mainstream and weak signals to the category by the development of personnel expertise, by encouraging the evaluation of new product ideas and technology from leveraging supplier expertise/outside sources
In collaboration with Regulatory Affairs and Internal/External advocacy, drive our value nutrition core’s consumer relevant messaging in our product ranges i.e. Positive Nutrition, Highest Nutritional Standard, Future 50 foods to the public communication
Serves as member of the global R&D Nutrition team to:
Agree and deploy delivery of global technology, technical enablers and innovations of savory into SEA+ID
Plan development training agenda for retention and development of team
Prepares, recommends, and implements agreed Nutrition SEA+ID Savory RDC budgets, expenditures and forecasts to accomplish agreed team targets.
Lead, mentor and develop talent in the team with growth mindset/learn to unlearn and agile way of working style

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Food Science or related.
A minimum of 10 yrs experience in an FMCG company R&D management role. Experience in food product development is preferred.
