The Factory Logistics Coordinator will support the Logistics Department within the Kilbourn Plant.
The position is comprised of the following:
Developing strong cross-functional relationships with factory, corporate counterparts, vendors, and carriers
Change management, continuous improvement projects to drive zero losses within customer service and logistics
Maintaining key documentation on inbound material receipts and outbound finished good shipments
The individual will be assigned to various special projects that are in alignment with the factory goals and business objectives for the logistics team including delivery of cost savings, customer service, and carbon reduction at the Kilbourn site through driving FIFO process and taking Kilbourn’s Yard Management System to the next level reporting.
What are expecting in this role:
Responsible for all materials going in and out of the factory
Complete transitions in SAP
Support operations with material requests
Facilitate Yard MS to ensure data accuracy
Work with corporate transportation team to plan and allocate shipments across distribution center network
Ensure inventory accuracy for all packaging and raw materials
Own a project that relates to cost savings, performance, or waste initiatives for the factory
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for:
Managing yard transactions for packaging, raw ingredients and finish good loads by utilizing Kilbourn’s Yard Management System and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of data entry
Increase inventory accuracy and traceability by building a more robust receipt process for all packaging and raw ingredients
Execute continuous improvement World Class Manufacturing through various logistics pillar projects (Ex: 5S warehouse/shipping office, decrease load times, increase shipment traceability through warehouse LPN scanning)
Drive Logistics cost savings through reducing assessorial with FIFO process and driving internal logistics projects. Responsible for validating internal assessorial costs from carriers
Manage daily operational duties – Tender loads to carriers in Oracle Transportation Management, Post Goods Issued in SAP, MIGO of inbound purchase orders, and warehouse team load assignments
Key Skills:
High school diploma required
Warehouse Management System/Yard managementexperience (nice to have)
SAP (nice to have)
Logistics experience (nice to have)
Microsoft office experience required
Strong communication skills
Education & Training:
Associates degree required. Any logistics, factory or continuous improvement experience is a plus
Work Experience:
2+ years work experience with competency in systems and business operations
Functional Skills:
Competent in technical analysis and able to build one-slide presentations
Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to drive change
Improved analytical and systems skills
Project management
Understand the scope of a Supply Chain function
Other Skills:
Fluent in English
Strong communication skills to work with warehouse team, external site partner and transportation carriers
Ability to understand and influence team members to drive change management
Experiences you got in the role and any technical experience you gained:
SAP Expert
Enhanced knowledge of overall PINC system
Hands on with projects and cross functional partnership with other departments
