Financial Project Analyst

We are hiring for a Project Analyst to join our team in Covington TN. The qualified candidate will provide customer support on examining and improving current projects.

The Project Analyst should have an exceptional bias for action and be an innate problem-solver, supporting the business in developing and executing effective business strategies, including the planning, and budgeting process.   The Project Analyst reports to the Assistant Controller/Factory Finance Lead and has the responsibility to make sure that projects and policies are adequately executed and provides recommendations for how to improve them.

• Consolidating and analyzing financial data, considering Unilever Covington Plan’s goals and financial standing

• Providing creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance through waste

• Assembling and summarizing data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks

• Participate in cost improvement / restructuring / capital investment / sourcing projects. Challenge, calculate sensitivities, and build business cases

• Analyze events, activities, and schedule data to provide evaluations on timely execution of projects milestones, and execution objectives.

• Participate in communities of practice to share good practices and ways of working with regards to controllership and SC business partnering

• Train the sourcing unit SC colleagues on accounting and control subjects (i.e., new procedures) and ensure financial controls are understood and adhered to by plant leadership

• Monitor progress and performance to establish improvement of processes while maintaining or exceeding established safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

• Assist in development and maintenance of documentation to support and promote WCM initiative. This includes development and maintenance of data

• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Interact effectively with all organizational levels including WCM staff at other Unilever sites, educational professionals, and equipment suppliers. Motivate, energize, and foster team activities and relationships.  Ability to resolve conflict.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• BS degree in business or related field with 2+ years of related progressive professional work experience in data analytics, financial analysis

• Microsoft Office required; Advanced Excel required 

• Providing incisive and persuasive management performance reporting and analysis solutions across multiple organizational dimensions 

• Developing strong personal and team relationships across a multitude of business stakeholders  

• Able to use as appropriate SAP, Capture Data Collection Program, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
