Your Role

In this role you will take on the role of Trafford Park People Lead, business partnering the Trafford Park Factory Director and their Management team.   Operating within the Country People & Organisation (P&O) framework, this role will be at the forefront of the local Factory People plan for Trafford Park, whilst leveraging the ekaterra P&O processes, policies and expertise.  To be successful in this role, must have the ability to think strategically in their role of business partner, but also be comfortable working at an operational level to deliver the people plan.  You must be people focused with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in this role, and experience of nurturing a collaborative relationship with Trade Unions will be key to your success.

Your Key Tasks

  • Be the People Partner to the Trafford Park Factory Director and their Leadership Team, driving and supporting First Line Leadership Development initiatives across the Leadership Team
  • Take ownership for the change and transformation agenda at Trafford Park, having recently secured significant investment for the site with an ambitious “Future Fit” transformation programme in progress
  • Ownership of the local People audit and accreditation projects
  • Drive Trafford Park recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Help build the Factory culture and community through employee engagement initiatives such as Wellbeing and Diversity & Inclusion
  • Leverage all the relevant ekaterra processes, policies and procedures to deliver the P&O agenda for the site
  • Line Manage one HR People Partner (HR Operations) to deliver an excellent service to the people at Trafford Park, acting as a point of escalation for ER case appeals and escalations

Skills and Experience

  • Broad HR Generalist experience at HRBP/Senior HRBP level
  • Experience working in a unionised Manufacturing Environment
  • Experience of managing significant change/transformation projects
  • Good knowledge of local employment legislation
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills
  • You are a successful, forward thinking business partner looking for a new challenge
  • Collaboration skills to enable working across the global organisation and local P&O Team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The capacity to understand problems and issues in the context of the bigger picture and understand relationships is essential
