WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Responsible regarding Financial control Framework:
The Trade Term Structure policy
Lead Credit control
Trade Term Structure accruals
Trade Term Structure Payments review
Aged Trade Term Structure review and reconciliation of payments vs accruals
Aged Debtors and overdoes management
Support credit control meetings to ensure Overdue management is done effectively
Business Partner to CD and Marketing
Support commercial finance manger in:
Channel planning: Will take part in Planning by channels
Joint Business Planning: Will participate in Joint business planning with customers & the review of customer forecasts
Review performance by Channel by customer: Review performance by Channel by Customer vs plans as a critical part of performance management.
Distribution Improvement plans: monitor the improvements in distribution as a key pillar of East & West Africa strategy.
As a business partner to Marketing
Annual Brand Marketing Investment Budget assignment: Assign Brand Marketing Investment budgets to each category /brand based on budgets communicated by Finance Excellence Team.
Quarterly activity Planning: Will support the promo /activity planning that becomes the basis of next quarters forecast and will help critically evaluate choices to meet the business strategic objectives
Pricing: Provide analysis to make pricing Choices of the CD/Marketing community
Net Revenue Management: Play the role of Finance partner to Net Revenue Management.
Role in S&OP and Liaison with FET & Head of Finance EWA
Review Sales & Operation Planning forecast before submission on Topline, Trade Term Structure and Brand Management Investment Submissions.
Review the Forecast for Opening closing and movements of Debtors from a cash perspective
Maintain a formal list of Risks and Opps for Topline and Brand Marketing Investment which must be submitted to commercial finance manager to be disused further with Finance Execellence Team and East & West Africa.
Role in Month end:
Ensuring all control linked activities impacting Customer Development and Marketing are completed, including key accruals
Completing the analysis of Actuals vs Forecast by coordinating with Supply Chain Finance & Finance Excellence Team & ensuring Sign off.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related field of study
Minimum of 5- years relevant experience
Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
