Function and Service Line Introduction

As part of the Global Supply Chain Finance Services (SCFS) team at Unilever, this role contributes to our purpose:“Inspired to make an impact”. SCFS aims to create value through continuous global impact on Unilever’s financial results.

Our scope includes costing, accounting, reporting, and controlling within Supply Chain Finance. We operate in a dynamic environment driven by continuous improvement, automation, and data-driven insights.

SCFS activities are delivered from three continents:

  • Europe (Poland)

  • Americas (Mexico)

  • Asia (India)

Purpose of the Role

The SCFS Process Excellence Assistant Manager supports the strategic development of integrated SCFS services and IT. You will lead process optimization, automation, and transformation initiatives.

This role ensures compliance with the Global Process Model and Financial Controls Framework, drives operational efficiencies, and supports global harmonization. You will work closely with regional counterparts and report to the Global PEC Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Redesign assigned processes to create future-fit global models using simplification, automation, outsourcing, and centralization (Tier 3 model)

  • Conduct feasibility assessments and build business case proposals

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver project roadmaps aligned with stakeholders

  • Lead implementation of major changes to global process models and capabilities

  • Manage change, training, and communication across UniOps and stakeholders

  • Perform detailed E2E impact assessments and feasibility studies

  • Analyze SAP platforms and propose initiatives to improve efficiency and controls

  • Drive digital disruption and future-fit technology adoption

  • Collaborate with peers in global design for cross-workstream processes

  • Support operations teams in continuous improvement and design changes

  • Maintain and govern Global Process Models (GPMs), narratives, and desktop procedures

  • Ensure high-quality delivery of centralized SCFS activities

  • Manage stakeholder relationships and governance with market operations partners

Experience & Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of professional experience including team leadership and change management

  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain Finance processes

  • Experience in regional/global roles with virtual stakeholder engagement

  • Deep knowledge of Product Costing

  • Prior experience in SC Finance (Factory, Logistics, Procurement Finance)

  • Solid project management and stakeholder management experience

  • Expertise in Financial Accounting (Cost Accruals, Project Accounting)

  • Fluent in English (Business level)

Preferred:

  • Advanced project management skills

  • SAP FICO expertise
