GCAD (Group Chief Accountant’s Department) is the center of accounting expertise and excellence. We are building a dedicated controls team within GCAD and UniOps PEC to enhance internal financial controls and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.

Main Job Purpose

Support the GCAD Risk and Controls team in delivering risk management and controls assurance processes. Strengthen the financial controls environment and drive operational efficiency. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to support Process Excellence teams in control design and implementation, while leading GCAD risk and control initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain SAP controls and the global risk and control framework

  • Own global process changes and ensure alignment with SOX requirements

  • Lead quarterly Control Process Improvement meetings for one or more global processes

  • Drive transformation, simplification, and continuous improvement of the global controls framework

  • Identify and implement best practices for internal controls and process improvement

  • Support central and local teams in embedding controls and identifying improvement opportunities

  • Develop process maps for significant financial processes and assess control effectiveness

  • Perform controls impact assessments for business process and system changes

  • Evaluate and report non-compliance situations; support remediation of control deficiencies

  • Collaborate with Corporate Audit, external auditors, IT, and finance leadership to align risk and control activities

  • Influence stakeholders across all levels to promote best-in-class processes and controls

  • Create training and communication materials to educate the business on financial controls

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification

  • Experience in SOX audit or controls within a SOX scope company

  • Advisory or audit experience with a major accounting firm

  • Proven track record in control design projects for listed companies

  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder change projects

  • Risk management experience in large organizations

  • Strong knowledge of SAP and core business transactional processes

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Experience working in multicultural and multilocation teams
