Job Title: First Line & Warehouse Manager
Location: Thailand
JOB PURPOSE
The First Line & Warehouse Manager is a management professional with a good technical understanding of manufacturing, general engineering, and warehouse management & operations. To lead and manage a huge team of operators ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Management (FLM)
- Provide the governance function for a cluster of semi-autonomous teams, delivering management and leadership support for performance monitoring, overtime allocation, working patterns and dispute resolution.
- Lead improvement projects for operational processes
- Understand the factory’s financial situation and use the training in UMS methodologies to drive the AM team’s work to counter losses and eradicate waste
- Lead projects to support factory initiatives
- Provide common standard of communication and engagement across the factory. Liaise closely with the core factory functions, including Leadership Team of Manufacturing, HR, Quality and Safety to achieve this.
- Manage approximately 200 operators
- Oversee daily production activities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure targets are met
Warehouse Management
- Lead and develop the eventual success of SAP in site planning operations
- Overlook the administrative work of the department and help improve way of working towards digitalization
- Control minimum possible material inventory and ensure stock control is accurate and well mange, consumption are traceable
- Support rapid implementation of logistic innovations
- Manage approximately 10 staff
CANDIDATE CRITERIA
Experience & Qualification:
- Engineering education background
- Possess managerial experiences for at least 5 years with proven record in managing big team
- Have practical experience of applying autonomous maintenance strategies within manufacturing, general engineering, preferably FMCG
- Experienced working a fast-paced, dynamic and complex setting
Skills:
- Must be able to converse in English
- Strong coaching, influencing and leadership skills
- Knowledge of the end-to-end manufacturing processes relevant of:
- Preventative maintenance schemes and condition monitoring
- Principal factory controls (e.g. for HPC; spray drying, soap making, batch & continuous mixing of liquids and bottle, sachet, bar and pouch filling machinery)
