The Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) Benelux:

The world of Food Solutions is a dynamic and exciting environment with passionate professionals who work hard to carry out their common ambition to “support, inspire, progress”. Our customers range from restaurants and hotels through to pub chefs and workplace, school or hospital caterers - as well as the wholesalers and cash and carries who service the foodservice industry. Unilever Food Solutions (ufs.com) is the dedicated culinary foodservice business of Unilever which operates in more than 70 markets across the globe. The UFS portfolio consists of many of the world’s leading food brands like Knorr, Hellmann’s and The Vegetarian Butcher. 

UFS Benelux is a team with around 100 people who are highly energized to serve the chefs in the industry with support, inspiration and guidance.

Main purpose of the internship: 

When joining Unilever in Belgium, you will get the opportunity to have an impact on a leading-edge company and our outstanding brands. During this internship you will get real responsibilities that will provide you with a good insight into the organisation and support your personal development.

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities could be (amongst others):

  • You will check financial investments and make decisions based on ROI.

  • You will analyse promotional spendings and determine their effectiveness.

  • You will be handling promotional rebates 

  • You will be involved in the review of promotional and contractual provisions: bonus calculations, analysis of actuals vs provisions 

  • You will be involved in process improvement projects: using PowerBi to create additional insights in our Order to Cash process. 

  • You will be supporting price increase process 

  • You will be supporting Sales in annual negotiations 

  • You will ensure any requirements from audit are met.  

  • You will help in the documentation and digitalisation of our processes.

What we ask: 

  • You must be enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student from a University, Business School or equivalent during the entire internship, with a speciality in finance.  

  • You are available for a minimum of 3 months and ideally for 6 months (at least 32 hours a week). 

  • You are fluent in English + Dutch or French.

  • You have a great sense of details and accountability.

  • You are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility. 

  • You are a self-starter, able to work autonomously.

  • You are a pro-active and dynamic person, able to anticipate the needs of your team.

  • You are able to work with a diversity of people and teams.

  • You are familiar with MS office tools, with a good knowledge ofExcel.

  • Experience with Power BI is a big plus!
