We are looking for a KAM Carrefour & Colruyt Group (CLP + OKAY)in ourFoods team.


It will be your mission to develop, negotiate and deliver a win-win Customer strategy and Joint Business Plan through the best integration of our internal priorities with the strategy of the customers. You bring the voice & needs of the customers, channels and shoppers towards the different stakeholders and you are an active member of the category team. The aim of it all : Hit the triple win & achieve internal targets with our key brands & main pillars (verticals). 

The role reports directly into the NAM Foods (1U Customer Lead for Colruyt) and you will be responsible for 1 direct reports which is a CMA for the Nutrition BU (Foods+Lipton). Your entrepreneurial, agile, analytical, creative, commercial mindset and leadership skills will be key to transform the way we do business with our customers in a fast change retail environment.

What will you main responsibilities be? 

  • Monitor Unilever and Retailer performance versus the different targets & ensureFoods Belgium business growth, whilst outperforming the market.

  • Act as active ambassador of Unilever at the customer and of the customer at Unilever. We expect this both within you’rethe Foods Teams & the Customer Groups in which you will take part (Colruyt & DLL). 

  • In this perspective we expect both a wing woman/ wingman to the NAM Foods & the Customer Leads of Colruyt & DLL.

  • Strategic Vision: Create, develop and implement short- and long-term commercial strategies and plans aligned with the Belgian Foods business goals and objectives. Collaborate with Marketing and CSP on activities and innovation to deliver against channel and category growth opportunities 

  • Customer and consumer-Centric Approach: Know your customers & consumers, network, negotiate and close the deal for all the customers you serve by building win-win plans.
    Excel in execution of the deal and perform constant evaluation to further improve, adapt and course correct where necessary. Provide clear objectives and deliverables for the field team on your customer together with the CSP team & your CBD colleagues.

  • Financial Targets: deliver financial and non-financial targets and contribute to budget development of promotional plans. Manage your P&L Top to bottom.

  • Performance management: Manage and monitor commercial activities, using key metrics to evaluate performance.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong and profitable partnerships with key stakeholders both externally and internally. 

Experience you should have:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent by experience

  • At least 5 years of KAM experience.

  • Experience in Key Account Management with international buying alliances.

  • Former experience in category management is a strong plus

  • As is a good understanding of Field Sales. 

  • Experience in marketing is an asset, but not a prerequisite.
