JOB PURPOSE:
In this role, you will be responsible for develop and implement Procurement business strategy for our North America Contact Flexibles. This is a challenging and dynamic role where the main responsibility is to be able to connect with the business and develop a relationship with suppliers with the objective of delivering consumer needs, business growth and our external social and environmental commitments and at a competitive level.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
Ownership:
• Develop strategies that’s aligned to the business direction
• Business partnering, manage internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Procurement, R&D, logistics, operations, sourcing units)
• Ensure competitive buying through industry benchmark, should-cost analysis, product innovation, market price movement monitoring
• Ensure Service by developing a resilient sourcing and SLA in place
• Work with cross-function teams to achieve product spec and manufacturing optimization
• Be the Go-to Person for the assigned categories for procurement and supplier related tasks & questions
Supplier E2E (end-to-end) Management & Ownership:
• Strengthening business partnerships
• Lead business reviews: together with cross function teams, measure and manage overall
• Supplier performance to meet business KPIs
• Commercial & Contract Negotiations
• Innovation projects: OTIF (on time in full) deliveries
• Savings: smart buying, product logic, cash, e-tender, volume rebate, 5s workshop, optimization projects
• Onboard and partner with suppliers on Unilever sustainability agenda
• Account management: onboarding, RPP, USQS compliance, contract management (creation, update, signatures, systems administration), service level maintenance/improvement
• Other operations: e.g. incident management, product specification confirmation
Procurement Activities:
• Take part of the overall sourcing strategy of Flexibles in North América
• Supporting the team to achieve its goals and objectives and monitor target delivery
• Owning and coordinating procurement/supply chain projects whereas required
• Price forecasting ensure Forecast Bias & Accuracy in Target (of assigned categories & suppliers) and Mitigation – work closely with Finance BP to receive and interpret material inflation, bring material dynamics from Portfolio teams and external market insights, translating to business impact
• Ensure contracts compliance
• Ensure payment resolution if price mismatch
• Support WoW (way of working) improvements: identify metrics, tools (e.g. digitalization), process, align and collaborate with cross-function teams to optimize WoW.
• Support the Procurement Manager whereas required
• Support Savings Program – Responsible for delivering NMCI co-leading material efficiency and supporting governance and implementation of projects.
• Disruptive Sourcing Models – continuously benchmark sourcing and buying capabilities via an intimate understanding of material value chains, developing disruptive solutions that secure long term competitiveness. (e.g Flexhub, Localization projects)
• Sustainability is in the heart of this role through Sustainable structures implementation in Flexible, Plastics reduction, (Paper, PCR implementation and recyclability commitments). The role will involve driving sustainability agenda with clear cost glidepaths, delivering purpose with business priorities.
• Defining and implementing a resilience plan for each BG within the cluster
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in Procurement Packaging (preferably), Supply Chain (Procurement, Plannning, make, source, R&D)
- LEVEL OF EDUCATION NEEDED: University degree
- TRAVEL: As per job/site requirements
- Self-starter with high accountability & responsibility standards.
- Strong analytical and IT skills: advanced Excel, PowerBI, SAP, iCAT, Aravo, DCIW (Invoice systems), SRS, PLM knowledge essential
- Strong stakeholder management skills: build relationships with people across functions, geographies, and companies.
- Good negotiation skills
- Good understanding of business economics
- Strong communication and presentation skills: ability to present key findings in a crisp way and get people onboard
- Strong project management and organization skills: strong at execution and proactively finding solutions and improvements.
- Business Story Telling: Strong ability to present complex topics in an effective and concise manner, effective strategic influencing at all levels, grounded through financial acumen and credibility.
- Negotiation: Ability to find common ground and commercially acceptable solutions, with risk identification and management.
- Personal Effectiveness: Effective and proven strategic planning, ability to learn quickly, handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously, resilient and determined towards success. Calm in the face of ambiguity.
- Languages: Spanish (fluent), English (fluent)
