We foster a culture of innovation, where bold ideas—big and small—fuel growth and transformation. Our people learn from exceptional leaders and colleagues, gaining mentorship and inspiration to become their best selves.

Role Purpose

The Group Management Reporting (GMR) team, part of the UniOps Commercial Experience unit, is at the forefront of Unilever’s digital finance transformation. We are committed to delivering timely, credible, and consistent insights that empower faster, data-driven decision-making across the organization.

As a Finance Manager – GMR, you will lead the charge in reimagining management reporting through digital innovation and process excellence. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of financial reporting, partnering with senior stakeholders across Group Controllers, Global Performance Management, and regional clusters. You will play a key role in implementing next-generation financial systems, driving operational efficiency, and influencing the future design of Unilever’s finance organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management reporting operations for Unilever Americas, including cost allocations, actual costing, reconciliations, and report submissions.
  • Champion digital and process transformation initiatives to enhance month-end close and reporting efficiency.
  • Collaborate with global teams (FIM, FIC, GCAD, GPM) to define and implement reporting enhancements.
  • Partner with finance leaders across clusters to deliver best-in-class service and insights.
  • Ensure strong governance, data quality, and compliance across all reporting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization in third-party service provider (3PSP) operations.
  • Support digital transformation projects in collaboration with the Process Excellence & Capability (PEC) team.
  • Oversee Supply Chain Cost MEC processes including Material Ledger, MR22, and ABC Make.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, both internally and within 3PSP operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Finance Business Partnering, with a strong grasp of management reporting.
  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent degree in Finance or Business Management.
  • Deep functional expertise in SAP Record-to-Report processes, particularly in Controlling modules (Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profitability Analysis).

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as Power BI and Excel; strong PowerPoint skills preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across global and cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications for Internal Candidates
  • Candidates currently within Unilever are expected to demonstrate the following additional capabilities:
  • Deep understanding of Unilever’s Financial Framework, including Financial Accounting Policies, Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA), Financial Information Modules (FIM), and relevant Global Financial Controls Framework (GFCF) controls within the Record-to-Report (R2R) domain.
  • Proficiency in SAP Financial and Management Accounting, with hands-on experience using Unilever’s R2R tools and systems.
  • Strong cross-functional awareness, particularly regarding the interdependencies between global finance functions and R2R processes.
  • Prior experience in a finance role within a Market Cluster Organization (MCO) or country-level setting, with a focus on management reporting.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and geographies.
