JOB PURPOSE
The Associate Customer Business Manager (ACBM) develops sustained business relationships and drive profitable sales volume for Albertsons Southern California for total Foods and Knorr HQ focus. They are the subject matter experts for Foods and will provide strategic direction for the division. The ACBM will exceed (profitable) volume and share goals while improving return on holistic customer investment, in line with joint business plan targets and customer and brand strategies.
Additionally, the ACBM will be responsible for turnover, category and brand share, and sales contribution margin (SCM) results for the business. They will work with syndicated data and other data resources to identify opportunities and develop a plan to achieve them. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and managing multiple brands and initiatives are critical.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
The position will require advanced skills in analysis, project management and proficiency in Microsoft Office with exceptional Excel skills. The Associate Customer Business Manager is expected to quickly become proficient in data systems such as IRI/Circana, Numerator, and retailer specific platforms. The Associate Customer Business Manager is responsible for weekly analysis and reporting of sales trends, shopper analysis, competitive activity and creating actionable insights from the analysis of these trends. The Associate Customer Business Manager is expected to regularly meet customer deadlines for weekly or monthly sales plan submissions and other ad hoc requests. Additionally, the Associate Customer Business Manager should be ready to create and present sales ready presentations to the Customer, Brands and Internal teams.
- Manage relationship with category managers and interface with customers’ various functional departments. Manage NSV and trade investment by category; Manage new item sell-in, influence planograms, and retail initiatives.
- Develop and implement Nutrition strategy for Albertsons (So.Cal) for the Foods business and take lead on HQ new item appointments for Knorr along with Many Americas
- Drive strategic relationships and accelerated growth while operating within approved Trade Marketing parameters.
- Drive trade investment effectiveness and efficiency
- Coordinate annual planning efforts
- Consistently communicate status against objectives and identify risks and opportunities
- Coordinate Joint Business Plans with key accounts
- Manage and communicate through broker teams to ensure objectives are being met.
- Work closely with Distributor Manager and Demand Planning to ensure distributor forecast is aligned to channel needs.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree is required
- Minimum one year of related experience; demonstrating knowledge of customer, data, systems, and ability to analyze info and trends to make recommendations.
- Strong communicate skills to work across Customer Business Managers, Business Development, Headquarters Planning group and Customer Service organization; have the skills to connect with team and create solutions to problem areas.
- Has ability to think outside the box and has ability to work independently to find solutions
- Must have a growth mindset and a passion for winning.
- Prior experience in the CPG industry is preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management, internally and externally.
- Must be detail oriented that works effectively in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.
- Must have strong relationship building and project management skills.
- Must be fully proficient with Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI and other applications a plus
- Prior working knowledge of POS reporting systems preferred (Nielsen, IRI/Circana, Customer-Specific) and Sales Planning Systems.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,000 to $129,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
