JOB PURPOSE

This position requires a good understanding of brand performance and deployment, which includes customer and consumer focus, category and channel planning, competitive awareness, P&L management and social-first demand-driving activities. You will report to the Dove Bar Brand Manager and will contribute significantly on delivering growth targets for Dove Bar. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in CS&P, CD, MMC, R&D, Supply Chain to deploy in-market demand generation plans across each customer as well as at the national level with the support of agency partners. You will also work together with the team on horizon 1 projects necessary for driving growth across retailers. 

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • This position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills as you will interact with cross-functional business partners, brand partners across BG/BU as well as agencies.
  • Our work starts with understanding what drives our consumers to purchase, and crafting plans based on those insights, including nuances based on the shopping occasion and retail channel
  • Must be tracking what’s on trend and have your finger on the pulse of what’s happening in culture daily (hyper focus on social media) – for what will impact consumer behaviors, trends and how/what they buy. Embedding Dove Bar in culture is a key initiative for the brand.  
  • The PW category is highly competitive so it’s important that you have a competitive spirit and hunger to drive more growth – constantly looking for opportunities to grow
  • You have a proven record of leveraging data to uncover powerful insights and growth opportunities for Dove Bar, driving insight into action
  • Need to be a natural go-getter and love getting things done. You’re not afraid to challenge the status quo and do what’s best for the customer, consumer and ultimately, the business
  • Able to work independently and proactively offer solutions when you understand the business challenges in addition to receiving support from your manager
  • Hold a special place in your heart for Unilever’s largest personal care brand and a brand that works hard in everything it does to deliver its social mission

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
  • 4+ years’ experience in Brand Marketing, preferably CPG
  • Demonstrated passion for beauty and personal care
  • Experience with syndicated data such as Circana/Nielsen, strong analytical skills to dig into the details, and a capacity for deriving insights to ultimately make recommendations for the business
  • Capacity to oversee and track multiple projects with due dates and varying requirements and priorities
  • A social first mindset – you’re well versed in the worlds of Instagram, TikTok and the creator economy
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working with multiple cross-functional partners
  • Ability to think strategically, both from a brand as well as a category view

Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
