The Jonesboro Plant, Associate Director of Manufacturing will lead people and activities in the factory to achieve supply chain success. They own supply chain targets including safety, employee engagement, quality, service, cost, productivity and innovation; this individual will inspire, develop, and lead the manufacturing teams to implement and sustain supply chain and category strategies including those in safety, quality, World Class Manufacturing, employee relations, performance management and development of talent.  S/he is a critical member of the site leadership team and leads the development & sharing of best practices across the Beauty & Wellbeing network and works collaboratively with all business functions to help deliver the Supply Chain results. The scope of this role encompasses Packaging Operations, total site Process (Mix) Operations, and total site Logistics Operations.  This role will have between 5-8 direct reports along with the blue-collar population in packaging, processing, and warehouse reporting into them.  The successful individual for this role will also play a big role in decisions impacting not only the factory but the overall business as part of their business acumen development.


WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

You will create and deploy operational and financial plans to deliver targets on service, costs, productivity, quality, innovation, SHE and employee engagement. You will also work with the broader site team, supply chain planning and technology teams to develop and implement long term strategic plans.  You will lead the site on continuous improvement strategies to improve operational efficiency and drive innovation in product as well as ways of working, cost & service models and the supply chain structure. You will own the factory floor culture agenda, developing future-fit manufacturing teammates who are able operationally strong and consumer focused.

Other duties to include:

  • Own operational KPIs for the site including safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost
  • Develops and delivers to site annual budget and through programs to achieve competitive results
  • Manage the Manufacturing team (direct reports and blue collar population)  to deliver daily excellence and develop future technical leaders in Manufacturing and Engineering
  • Accelerate Unilever Manufacturing systems (UMS) methodology and culture as the way to deliver sustainable results and improve performance
  • Foster a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion where team members thrive
  • Drive a step change in manufacturing capability with a focus on flexibility and responsiveness
  • Lead across supply chain, breaking down silos to deliver end to end results and deeper connection to business and consumers
  • Drive digital transformation, including automation, to improve site efficiency and enhance manufacturing capabilities
  • Own the sustainability agenda to reduce the environmental footprint
  • Foster a culture that develops both salaried and hourly team members and creates an environment of positive employee relations
  • Review and approve facility plans and audits to address ongoing needs of operation, compliance with governing rules, regulations and leasehold requirements and ensure minimized exposure to environmental risk and hazards
  • Ensure site competitiveness through ongoing identification and implementation of value improvement projects (VIPs)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years in a Supply Chain role (Manufacturing, Technology, EHS, Quality).
  • Minimum 3 years working in a role leading a large manufacturing operation.
  • Experience leading in a team based environment
  • Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $141,680 to $212,520. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
