ABOUT UNILEVER IN KATOWICE
It is Unilever’s in-house centre of business partnering and operational excellence in the area of finance services, supply chain, customs, procurement, integrated planning and performance delivery. There are 300 people in Katowice Hub.
The modern Katowice Hub office, whose interiors were designed according to the principles of sustainable development, is located in the city centre of Katowice, Poland.
We are working in the hybrid way to use the time spent in the office to influence collaboration and straighten the team spirit, using special designed for this purpose office areas.

CATEGORY/FUNCTION INTRODUCTION
As FP&A Junior Manager you are responsible for the execution of monthly reporting for actuals and forecast for all Unilever Business Groups in Europe. Additionally, you are responsible for RTI area, proper checks and control and basic analyzing of the effects. You should understand the variances between actuals and forecast as well as actuals from prior and current year. Part of this role is dedicated to answering business question coming from the different teams within the Supply Chain Finance network regarding business performance.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • First point of contact for RTI in case of process support and result explanation;

  • Provide monthly reporting of actuals to support month end closure process;

  • Provide monthly reporting of forecast to enable decision making process by the business;

  • Enforce checks and controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting has been submitted in the monthly, quarterly and yearly cycle;

  • Perform data quality analysis on RTI costs and align with stakeholders;

  • Participate in the FP&A and Result processes for Europe Supply Chain (including query resolution and follow ups)

  • Managing communication of financial results towards stakeholders;

  • Update procedures, operation instructions and other documentation with process scope

  • Monitor monthly journal entries reflecting specific costs (Statistical charges, etc.).


Co-coordinating and managing forecasting process for SC Overheads in Europe:

  • cost reported – monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast updates;

  • cost incurred – monthly FCST cycles updates (in CCC)


Additional responsibilities:

  • Cost Centres/International Cost Centres (ICC) creation as requested for SC Overheads;

  • Working on Supply Chain related projects


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of finance working experience preferably in financial reporting, accounting, controlling;

  • Functional knowledge of supply chain and experience in SAP would be an advantage;

  • High proficiency with MS Office (excellent skills in Excel is a must);

  • Analytical mindset: capability to analyze data to catch inconsistencies and mistakes;

  • Fluent in English verbal and written;

  • Experience in Business Partnering;

  • Understanding of Connect and Ifinance systems is an advantage

  • Team player, pro-active

  • Good service orientation and communication skills

  • Change management and attention to detail

  • IT skills – excellent level of MS Office especially MS Excel; Knowledge of Power BI will be an advantage

  • Ambitious and pro-active attitude/willingness to learn
