CATEGORY/FUNCTION INTRODUCTION
Skin Cleansing, soap making plant/ Supply Chain
JOB PURPOSE
To oversee and make sure all factory processes (Soap making, Powder making, Hair care, Oral Care, Food) requirements are in compliance all the time and in the required level of performance and service. Looks over all factory parameters and controls leading to superior quality products from a make/manufacturing point of view.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- Works on sustaining as well as improvement of processes, performance of lines in terms of set parameters, compliance to make sure the right quality of products are made with right discipline and full compliance to standards
- Major stake holder in projects involving new processes or improve existing ones.
- In addition, makes sure EMOCs are being well captured, SOPs are being followed, safety and quality standards and procedures are in place and being adhered to.
- Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitors process flaws, amendments, upgrades, etc. Including testing and evaluating the processes to locate inefficiencies and make recommendations
- Key contributor in developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes
- Process Optimization: works with the team and organizes platforms to identify and address bottlenecks to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Analyze production workflows related to processes, measure performance, and interpret data to identify areas for improvement.
- Also leads the follow up of performance and condition of machines and process parameters across factory.
- Leads management of change relating to manufacturing process and all sorts of improvements that require changes in WOW, SOPs, MOC
- Responsible of leading, managing and documenting process related data and information
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
- Engineering/any relevant Natural Science degree with at least 3 years of work experience in a related industry.
- Good knowledge of WCM, ManEx, Soap production, Safety & Quality standards, GMP, Hygiene and HACCP, MMP
Skills
- Decent and practical understanding of soap making process, powder making, food safety, liquid processing as well as process parameters, procedures, safety & quality standards of the aforementioned areas
- Detailed Knowledge of Mechanical and electrical machine components as well as operation/troubleshooting and maintenance of the various machines in the soaps lines.
- Understanding of the basics of mechanics and trouble shooting of the manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with GMP and standard operating procedures.
- Full understanding of factory safety standards (process safety , electrical safety, machinery safety, …. ).
- Analytical thinking with interpersonal skills, working in various teams, organizing skills
- Manex/TPM/WCM detailed knowledge will be a plus.
