GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) traditionally uses the GTM & Chef Angel network to engage CHEFS, DSRs and BUYERS in the BtoB food service channel. In recent years the role of data, our data driven strategy and the role of digital channels has increased significantly; the availability, use and analysis of data as well as the use of the right combination of offline and online touchpoints has become essential to create the perfectOperator-Customer Journey.
The Business Data & Tech Specialist is crucial when it comes to landing a 360° Data Driven execution. Whether offline touchpoints such as DSR and CHEF or online touchpoints such as email, Whatsapp ecosystem, our CRM or UFS.com the disposability and understanding of Data is crucial. The main objective of the Business & Data Tech Specialist is precisely to make the DATA Journey integrated and edible for the entire Community Network, starting with GTM.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- To build and maintain an integrated data ecosystem that supports the entire Community, with a specific focus on the GTM team, ensuring data accessibility, consistency, and quality.
- To ensure operational effectiveness of key technology platforms (Oracle, SAP, CRM Goose, PowerBI, GAC, Inside Sales, ESRA, Datalake), managing incidents, updates, and developments in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- To drive the evolution of the CRM Goose, ensuring alignment between customers, materials, and pricing conditions, and supporting the OTC team and Chef Angels with backend and help desk activities.
- To develop and maintain advanced reporting through PowerBI and other tools, supporting data-driven decision making and commercial strategy.
- To be the first point of reference for technical matters across all functions involved in commercial and operational excellence processes, facilitating integration between data, systems, and workflows.
- To promote a digital and data-driven culture, acting as a change facilitator and coach for the adoption of innovative tools and methodologies.
- To actively collaborate with the Global Customer Experience team, contributing to the definition and implementation of technological solutions that improve efficiency and service quality for our customers.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- ORACLE Platform: Management & Evolution
- Management of the database architecture, integrity checks, functionality monitoring and incident management with third parties (including nightly log verification)
- Data reconciliation across Oracle/SAP/Esra for daily and monthly reporting
- Sell-Out tracking, SSD uploads, and verification of data accuracy and integrity
- Just-in-time implementation of changes (new views, new tables, new fields, etc)
- Creation of ad hoc reconciliation reports
- System table updates following the addition of new products (e.g., Forecasting, Top10, Innovations)
- Management of views and tables supporting satellite systems
- Oversight of new developments and relationships with third parties (both internal and external)
- Customized Price List Management – Link Oracle & SAP
- Spiderman, master data management system for satellite platforms
- CRM GOOSE Application: Management & Development
- Daily verification of the synchronizer’s proper functioning and resolution of any issues
- Periodic cleanup of obsolete data
- Verification of correct alignment between customers/materials/pricing conditions and resolution of any discrepancies
- Management of new developments
- Help Desk support for KA, RSM, and Chef Angel teams
- CRM-Goose backend support and backup for OTC activities related to customer/material/product/promotion master data management and alignment
- SAP Platform: Key Feature Management
- Approval of SBWP flow for new customer master data
- Backup for customer master data creation and master data modifications
- Management of bulk changes for clients/materials/discounts
- SQVI report management
- Verification of proper functioning of the SAP-Goose interface
- Other Supporting Systems:
- POWERBI
- Development of reports to support data-driven decision making
- Maintenance and troubleshooting related to reporting
- Coaching and Learning
- GAC:
- Platform maintenance and support, help desk for users
- INSIDE SALES:
- Platform maintenance and support, help desk for users

- Data integrity analysis for Oracle & SAP
- Interface with the Global D&A team for new developments and regression testing
- DATALAKE
- Maintenance e POC/specialist/Data Engineer for UFS and Sales data ecosystem
- ML & AI models for predictive & prescriptive analytics
- HELP DESK
- Champion Support for UFS IT Tools & Process
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Proven experience in a Tech & Digital role linked to customer mgmt knowledge and experience.
- Experience in digital selling and evolving customer relationship management. understanding of digital technologies, their capabilities, how they impact the ways of working
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills driven by business & tech acumen
- Acting as a growth mindset player landing the essence of Data Driven Decision Making
- Food Culture: understand and be passionate about Food and the Food culture that we are creating through UFS.
- Excellent command of Italian and English
