JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Benefits Technology partner to join our team and play a key role in transforming our employee benefits processes into digital solutions. You will work closely with the HR, PEX teams at our global locations to understand their needs and challenges, and then collaborate with the technology teams within HR IT and broader Unilever IT to design and implement innovative digital solutions that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance employee experience.
This role will be responsible for the overall administration of benefits on Workday, enterprise-wide design framework, implementation of updates brought about by periodic releases and changes required by the users in Workday benefits module.
This also includes maintaining standards, impact assessment and solution recommendation. The HR IT business partner for benefits serves as Subject Matter Expert on Workday benefits module and will provide support to any related modules and downstream systems.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
First point of contact for Global and regional HR team and UL vendors for new demands, change request or any support requirement for Employee benefits
Setting up, configuring, and maintaining all objects related to benefits in Workday. Establishing and maintaining tenant wide standards on managing objects related to compensation and benefits.
Build, automate and release solutions based on HR priorities and requirements.
Explore and discover risks and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality and bring to the table potential solutions.
Make sure that all integration solutions meet the business specifications and are delivered on time.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Workday HCM certification and certified in Core and/or Advanced Compensation or Workday Benefit.
Competence and relevant experience in leading workshops for WD Core and/or Advanced Compensation or WD Benefit Workday modules in at least 1 project.
Identify Business Requirement for Compensation work stream and align them to Workday, driving towards decisions and recommending best practices in all phases of the Project.
Advise HR on industry standards for Compensation process areas to provide suggestions, drive decision and recommend best practices in all phases of the project
Work with the business and HR IT data migration team to help convert legacy Compensation data into Workday.
Ensures accuracy of benefits setup to sustain integrity of Workday as single source of truth system and support sustenance of data flow to other linked platforms
Captures, reviews & act upon, including testing & assessing impact of periodic releases related to Workday compensation and benefits
Liaises with Global Process Owners on change impact
Sets key performance indicators of the team and ensures that key responsibility areas are managed efficiently and excellently
Actively works and supports resolution of issues escalated, managing incidents, tracking ticket status and partnering with support teams to resolve
Identifies and recommends processes areas that could be simplified, improved or changed; to enhance user experience and drive simplification
Provides support in maintaining training activities and materials, including user guides, FAQ, recorded demos, portal content, etc.
Plans projects that address business needs, and assess fit of new compensation and benefits applications and vendors
Support all compensation and benefits integrations for any new demand, change request or trouble shooting
Impact Assessment on payroll and rewards for any changes in Workday benefits module or any related application
Liaises between HR and IT teams and supports HR business during project and BAU
Ensures requirements and test plans are signed off in projects
Ensures requirements by HR and IT are understood by both parties before any change or project
Takes up IT project management role if there is no dedicated project manager in projects
Works with HR team for user acceptance testing and ensure stakeholders are ready for go-live
Works on various KRAs for global mobility programs
Assess compensation and benefits processes and suggests automation opportunities
Ensures that new vendors meet local and global Unilever standards and strategy.
Supports business in vendor transitions.
Implements new compensation and benefits integration projects between benefit platforms such as Workday and various systems such as benefits and Payroll systems
Works with Data Privacy Team, Vendor Risk Management team and Cybersecurity team to ensure that new projects meet company standards
Works with Enterprise Architecture to ensure that new projects are aligned with global technology strategy
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Necessary Experiences & Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience in HR technologies
Hands-on experience in end-to-end implementation of Core and/or Advanced Compensation module. Payroll experience is good to have.
Project Management: Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
Project Management: Experience managing timelines, deliverables, and coordinating multiple work streams is beneficial.
Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile environments.
Knowledge of Workday and other HR systems in the domain of compensation, benefits and payroll
Strong knowledge of end-to-end compensation and benefits HR processes, and ability to define dependencies and connect the dots across the technology landscape.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Outstanding analytical, problem solving and fact-finding skills.
Ability to effectively communicate solution design, design proposals and negotiate options with stakeholders
Ability to understand the HR’s business problem, need, or opportunity and to design a solution that completely and correctly addresses the need.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
Ability to identify, clarify and resolve project issues and risks as needed.
Strong relationship building skills to effectively partner with HR CoEs and other internal teams and external vendors.
