About the role:
We are seeking an intermediate-level Econometrics Statistician specializing in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) and data science. This position is responsible for running monthly and quarterly models for multiple business categories. You will integrate diverse datasets—point-of-sale (POS) performance, media investment, PR impressions, seasonality, and brand equity tracking—to deliver actionable business insights. A high level of proficiency in Python, data API utilization, and advanced data cleansing is required.
You'll be responsible for:
Build, execute, and refine marketing mix models (MMM) across multiple business units, delivering monthly and quarterly reporting to stakeholders
Integrate large, disparate datasets including POS sales, media spend, PR activity, seasonality, and brand tracking, ensuring all sources are accurate, timely, and modelling-ready
Conduct detailed data extraction, transformation, validation, and extensive data cleansing to support robust statistical modelling
Automate ingestion and management of data feeds using APIs and Python for efficient, repeatable processes
Apply advanced econometric and statistical techniques to quantify drivers of sales and track performance across channels
Present model findings and actionable recommendations to business stakeholders; translate complex outcomes into clear business narratives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including category managers, finance, and marketing to ensure business alignment with modelling insights
Maintain rigorous documentation on modelling methodology, variable selection, and process flows for audit and knowledge-sharing purposes
Stay current on best practices in data science, machine learning, and MMM methodology.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
3+ years proven experience in marketing mix modelling, econometric/statistical analysis, or marketing analytics delivery in a business context
Advanced proficiency in Python, including data science libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, statsmodels)
Demonstrated expertise in data cleansing, preprocessing, and API-based data integration
Experience working with large, multi-source datasets including sales, advertising, media, and brand data
Strong analytical skills and practical knowledge of statistical and machine learning methods relevant to MMM.
Excellent communication skills: ability to explain technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Power BI, or similar) is a plus
Professional curiosity and collaborative outlook; comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience integrating and modelling brand equity, media, and PR data within MMM frameworks.
Familiarity with retail category management and/or working across multiple CPG business units.
Experience with other analytical tools such as R or SQL.
This role is ideal for a hands-on statistician enthusiastic about leveraging advanced econometric tools for real-world marketing and business optimization.
