Reports to: Strategic Sourcing Manager IT - Infrastructure

Scope: Regional

Location: Poland (Avg. 10% international travel is required.)

Part of the Global Business Operation family, Procurement is responsible for over 30B Euro of material and services spend globally with more than 60,000 suppliers. ABOUTIT Procurement

Global IT Procurement manages an annual spend of ~1.3B Euro with a supplier base of about 3,000.  The team has mission of ‘be the trusted advisory team to enable sustainable competitive business solutions and value thru mastery of IT industry and supplier knowledge, total cost of ownership, bold priority, and efficiency.  

This role will be supporting global services spend in the areas for Software ERP including Finance, Legal and Sustainability to name a few supporting the IT Portfolio lead for Commercial Experience.

In this portfolio, the business has long term Strategic partnerships with global IT Providers such as Blackline and SAP. The successful applicant requires the capability to interact with these types of vendors where required.

The successful applicant will support the Portfolio lead to increase efficiency by driving scale where it makes sense, decreasing fragmentation, pooling expertise across geographies, prioritizing higher impact spend areas, leveraging technology and data. Drive performance that unlocks, have a “can do attitude” and be able to hit the ground running with minimum supervision.

The role requires collaboration and agility due to the fast-moving environment of the business. The role will have close alignment in strategy with IT Service Line Leads, Finance partners, Legal partners, Procurement and BU Procurement Directors by defining and utilizing a robust support network for the whole team and providing clarity on the ways of works and roles and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, initiate and sustain direct interactions with appropriate internal stakeholders/ functional/operating teams within the business to drive “buying” behavior change required to meet business project objectives and facilitate implementation of the approved sourcing strategies.
  • Manage cluster of spend within the Commercial experience area
  • Participate in or lead (as appropriate) for area of responsibility.
  • Provide business partnering services
  • Work across multiple business operating units, each with a different culture, processes and demands.
  • Work closely and align with the IT Portfolio Lead to provide support specifically on provider strategies and execution.
  • Deliver against allocated financial targets and other KPIs (including value delivery) objectives, accountable for delivery of results from all markets across the globe, PMUs, Divisions and functions globally.
  • Develop and drive vendor rationalization in the set Portfolio at global level and market level by closely working with regional procurement leads including Enterprise Architect team and other Service Lines where required
  • Ensure Portfolio fundamentals (i.e. data consistency, data insights, recurring stakeholder communications, contracts, etc.) are all put in place.
  • Demonstrate strong contract skills with deep knowledge of contracting and negotiation of contracts.
  • Ensure the Procurement Minimum Standards & Ways of Working are always applied and being an advocate of the Minimum Standards.

Experience Required:

Qualification/experience

  • 3 - 6 years of relevant Procurement business experience, with strong software and IT services experience
  • Strategic sourcing, experience, at global or multi-regional level.
  • Setting up contracts and commercial terms with suppliers, with strong contract skills and deep knowledge of contracting and negotiation.
  • Understanding of supply market, value chain, and (Desirable FMCG background). Knowledge of Software providers such as SAP, Oracle Microsoft, IBM is a strong plus
  • Artificial Intelligence commercial experience would be a strong plus for this role
  • Experience in strategic supplier relationship management.
  • Experience of project management.
