The Job: You will be a member of one of the Business Unit team of Unilever and will work to define one or more business models to enter a segment with existing, entrenched competitors. You will partner with your cross-functional team to explore the consumer, customer, competitive and financial implications of entering a new category and what it will take to be successful (and potentially disrupt a new category for Unilever!). Much focus and priority will be against exploring disruptive, unexpected ways to build a new or existing brand through distribution channels, fulfillment, format, and micro-targeting.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and lead the discussion on category growth strategy in short-term and mid-term
- Lead the assigned brand campaigns and innovations to drive business growth
- Lead external agencies in creating new campaigns and activations and deployment of mixes and campaigns
- Lead on-going analysis and review of consumer, category, channel/customer and competitive information as part of a situation assessment on the performance of the assigned portfolio and identify issues & opportunities and hence the growth opportunities.
- Responsible for launch and network management (innovation, relaunch product), building launch plans, customer sell-in and legal & regulatory issues and managing brand budget.
- Builds productive working relationship with cross functionals: sales team, customer strategic planning, CMI, global brand team, finance, and supply chain to manage campaigns’ day to day operations, and external partners and agencies.
Qualifications
- Experiences as Brand or Marketing in product/brand management.
- Experiences working with cross functional environment.
- Good insightful thinking, problem solving, analytical skill.
- Able to balance multiple priorities and meet deadline.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit with resourcefulness and a sustainable outlook.
- Able to make decisions despite uncertainty with rationality, logic, and trend.
- Comfortable with number and data learning and management
- Learning agility and adaptability in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Good written and verbal communication in both Lao and English
- Open to learn and experiment new initiative.
We are seeking an energetic, results-driven individual with proven leadership abilities and passion for consumers and building brands. The ideal candidate will possess a university degree with an emphasis in communications and/or business and relevant marketing experience. Candidates should also exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical abilities with proven track record of turning insights into action, organizational skills, creativity and strong project management skills and experience. The individual is expected to exercise judgment in coordinating and implementing various projects to completion under tight deadlines and to be able to lead projects and influence others.
