Job Purpose

Unilever is the place where you can bring your purpose to life with the work that you do – creating a better business and a better world.  This role is to manage the end-to-end delivery of capital engineering projects. May be dedicated to deliver a single project of significant size or a portfolio of smaller projects. Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of projects including stakeholder engagement, contractor management, site safety, budget management.

Main Responsibilities

  • On Time In Full (OTIF) end to end delivery of assigned capital projects adhering to Unilever standards and ensuring safety as our number 1 priority
  • Lead engineering project teams drawing resources from the local, regional and global organisation as well as Unilever Engineering Cluster, Centre of Engineering Excellence and 3rd Party Teams
  • Business Partner with SUD for development of the capex program and program management
  • Development and maintenance of good stakeholder relationships

Candidate Criteria

Experience & Qualification

  • 10+ Years experience of Project Engineering in FMCG / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment
  • 5+ years’ operating in a management capacity
  • Significant Project Management experience
  • Good to have attained Professional Engineer Status (Or member of professional institution)
  • Firsthand experience / track record of delivering major (€Multi Million) capital projects within Unilever or similar FMCG environment

  • Professional Engineering Skills, hold engineering degree (s)
  • Engineering Design Process Management (Working Knowledge)
  • Project Delivery
  • Maintenance Principles and Best practice (Working Knowledge)
  • Contract Management & Conflict Resolution
  • Budget Management
