JOB PURPOSE

Degree, a €500m brand in its own right, is a pivotal member of the Rexona family; the number 1 anti-perspirant brand worldwide and the 2nd largest brand for Unilever Personal Care (€2.2BN split €1BN men, €1.2BN female). A brand that has been at the forefront in leading the category since the day it was born. The first brand to launch an AP into a market of only Deodorants and the first brand to bring proven superior body heat activated technology. We unapologetically live by our product truth of undeniable, superior efficacy that ‘Won’t Let You Down’ and our purpose ‘to inspire the confidence in everyone to move more’.
However, whilst there are many similarities with Rexona there are many differences not least that Degree is a challenger brand in need of significant turnaround in both genders which will require a dedicated community management focus.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
As the Associate Manager for PR/Influencer for Degree Deodorants within the Personal Care team, you will play a crucial role in elevating brand visibility and credibility through strategic public relations and influencer partnerships. Your mission will be to amplify the Degree brand’s story, drive authentic connections with target audiences, and foster advocacy through innovative influencer strategies, while maximizing earned media opportunities.
PR and Communications Strategy
• Develop and implement PR strategies that effectively convey the Degree brand’s mission and values to key media and stakeholders.
• Secure media placements, organize press events, and handle reactive media inquiries to maximize brand exposure and positive sentiment.
2. Influencer Partnerships
• Identify, cultivate, and manage partnerships with influencers that align with the Degree brand ethos and resonate with target audiences.
• Oversee the execution of influencer campaigns, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives, and measure the impact on brand growth and engagement.
3. Campaign Development and Execution
• Collaborate with the marketing, creative, and digital teams to design and execute integrated campaigns that elevate brand storytelling.
• Drive compelling and consistent messaging across earned and influencer channels.
4. Stakeholder and Agency Management
• Partner with PR and influencer agencies to conceptualize and deliver impactful programs, maintaining strong oversight and ensuring high-quality results.
• Manage relationships with key industry figures, media contacts, and event organizers to position Degree as a leader in personal care.
5. Performance Measurement and Insights
• Track and analyze the performance of PR and influencer campaigns, providing actionable insights to inform future strategies.
• Leverage tools and analytics platforms to measure reach, engagement, earned media value, and brand sentiment.
6. Trend and Industry Monitoring
• Stay current with PR and influencer marketing trends, competitive landscapes, and cultural shifts to ensure Degree remains relevant and innovative.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in PR, influencer marketing, or related fields, preferably in consumer goods or personal care.
• Strong relationships with media contacts and experience managing influencer partnerships and campaigns.
• Proven ability to create and execute communications strategies that drive earned media and brand engagement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and brand-building.
• Strong project management skills, with an ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep understanding of influencer marketing best practices and social media platforms.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $84,400 to $126,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
