Retail Media Manager Foods (d/w/m)
JOB PURPOSE
The German Foods Business Unit is home to iconic brands such as Knorr, Hellmann´s and The Vegetarian Butcher and is accountable for the business in Germany. The overall goal is to lead the foods business into a sustainably profitable and growing future and to steadily gain market share.
The Retail Media Manager is responsible to generate growth by stepping up our retailer media partnerships, including priorities such as data agreements and joint brand-retailer campaigns. We want to grow the German retail media offering with our retail partners, but also need to develop them to offer retail media opportunities that are competitive vs. other media offers from publishers. This role will leverage shopper, media and consumer data to build strong full-year plans with retailers, driving strong innovation plans.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
As a Media Strategist & Business Partner you need to
Translate omnichannel/eCommerce business priorities into media strategy to accelerate growth across shopper platforms.
Explore and evaluate new retail media partnerships and focus on volume growth for foods.
Deepen the actual partnership with the key omnichannel Rewe and evolve towards a longterm strategic partnership: drive better retail media practice and data sharing, establish best-in-class retail media WOWs and media practice
Key Business Partners:
Brands: understand brand objectives, business goals and holistic media plans to develop proper customer specific media briefs
CSP: understand customer business goals and holistic marketing strategies
Customer Business Development
Retailer media publishers groups
Media, Performance and content agencies
Global Performance Team Foods
Global digital partners: Tiktok, Meta, Google, Amazon, liveramp, tradedesk
Co-author research and measurement roadmap with CMI and or Third Party Measurement agencies (OP, Annalect)
Execution Powerhouse
Oversight of media rate cards and Joint Business Planning
Development ways of working, internally and externally business goals
Stewardship and sharing of media performance with key Business Units stakeholders
Drive Retail Media Best Practise and Test & Learn Agenda
Develop & champion media best-practices for performance marketing
Create learning modules, in conjunction with the media and performance agencies, to share both broad ecosystem content and detailed measurement that matter for all retail media inventories (Video, Display, Search, DOOH).
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
A minimum of 2 years of dcommerce and/ or performance media experience
Working knowledge of Retailer / Omni Media ad products and tools
Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Communication and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust up, down, and across the company
Eager to champion new ideas
Ability to analyze and propose data-driven solutions
Willingness and ability to educate and upskill internal colleagues on eCommerce media nuances and their impact to the business
Fluent German and English are required
