As the SHE Manager at the Unilever Hammond Dove Bar Soap Factory, you will be the driving force behind our Vision Zero—delivering zero harm to people, plant, and community. This factory-based leadership role is responsible for not only ensuring compliance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) regulations, but also for building and sustaining a world-class safety culture. You will influence every level of the organization, inspiring and empowering teams to prioritize safety above all else and achieve outstanding results.

You’ll be part of a team that believes in doing work that matters — for people and the planet.

Because here, we don’t just hire for jobs. We invite you to be part of something bigger.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Strategic Leadership: Champion the Vision Zero agenda by relentlessly influencing and engaging all site personnel—from the shop floor to senior management—to adopt a safety-first mindset.

- Culture Builder: Lead the transformation of the site’s safety culture, ensuring that safety is embedded in every decision and action. Foster an environment where every individual feels responsible for their own safety and the safety of others.

- Performance Driver: Own and drive SHE performance, setting ambitious targets and holding the organization accountable for achieving zero injuries and incidents.

- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with all local, national, and Unilever SHE requirements. Proactively identify, assess, and control risks to prevent harm.

- Communication & Influence: Serve as a visible, approachable leader who communicates clearly and confidently. Have the courage and skill to hold tough, strategic conversations that challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.

- Incident Management: Lead thorough investigations of all safety incidents, ensuring root causes are addressed and learnings are shared across the site.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with site leadership, employees, occupational health professionals, and external partners to advance the safety agenda.

- Continuous Improvement: Utilize data, trend analysis, and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action.

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a factory-based SHE or process improvement role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
