This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the payroll strategy and execution for a newly formed company across the Americas region – Canada, USA, Mexico, Ecuador, and Brazil.
As part of the global payroll team, this role is co-responsible for developing and implementing a 'fit for purpose' payroll management strategy and system for the entire company. The Payroll Hub team operates cross-functionally between countries, handling payroll input validation and GTN. This role will involve processing payroll for multiple countries, serving as a Subject Matter Expert in Payroll.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide key in-market/region Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for unique payroll solution requirements.
Review payroll requirements documentation from payroll vendors and apply best practices.
Support the development of test scripts to test payroll functionality and participate in the execution of test scripts.
Support preparation for parallel runs and validation of results, including identifying suitable periods for parallel testing and ensuring data load/data validation accuracy.
Review all payroll documentation to support live payroll processing.
Participate in cutover activities, including validation of data conversion accuracy, and go-live readiness activities.
Review data input and validate benefits, T&A data, and integrated support.
Review inputs and provide input via the platform to Neeyamo.
Validate payroll output.
Review Payroll GTN and prepare checklist spot checks for Payroll Regional Approval.
Once payroll is approved, prepare the funding process and inform Finance. Upload final reports for Finance and support post-payroll activities.
For countries without local operations, Payroll Hub will prepare input for payroll processing and submit it for peer review before manager approval.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES QUALIFICATIONS:
Payroll Management Expertise: Extensive experience in managing payroll processes across multiple countries, including knowledge of local payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to review and validate payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in payroll software and systems, such as SAP, Workday, or other relevant platforms. Experiencewith data integration and validationisalsoessential.
Project Management: Experience in managing payroll-related projects, including system implementations, parallel runs, and go-live activities. Ability to develop and execute test scripts and manage cutover processes.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Abilitytoprovideclear and concise documentation and reports.
Languages: Spanish / fluent English
Experience:
Payroll Management Background: 1-3 years in payroll management, with a focus on multi-country payroll processes.
Regional Experience: Experience managing payroll operations within the Americas region, including compliance with local regulations.
System Implementation: Experience in developing and implementing payroll systems, including data migration and integration.
Process Improvement: Proven record of introducing improvements in payroll processes to drive efficiency, enhance accuracy, and align with business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure integrated and efficient payroll operations.
